High-level Delegation Visits Campus to Discuss Educational Innovation

On 13 November, NAE China  Region visited NAS Guangzhou for an in-depth exchange. Mr. Stuart White (Regional ManagingDirector -China),Ms. Jian Tang (Chairman of China Region),and Ms. Michelle Zhang (Regional Managing Director, CBL) personally visited the campus. Their focus was on examining the latest progress and innovative achievements in core areas such as academic quality enhancement, bilingual integrated teaching practices, and student wellbeing development.

Warmly received and accompanied throughout by Principal Ms. Yang Linlin, Academic Principal Dr Thomas, and the MAC team, the visitors first participated in a distinctive student-led ‘School Tour’. Student representatives from various year groups confidently presented campus facilities, curriculum features, and learning programmes in fluent English. Their demonstrations of growth within an inquiry-based learning environment, critical thinking skills, and cross-cultural communication competencies earned high praise from the visitors.

China Region  team held a closed-door discussion with the school's ALT and MAC teams, engaging in in-depth exchanges on curriculum implementation strategies, teacher professional development, bilingual teaching assessment systems, and student support mechanisms. Both parties reached multiple consensus points on further optimising regional collaboration and school-based innovation.

During a specially arranged student interview segment, G9 pupil Terry represented the student body in a face-to-face discussion with Mr Stuart White. Their candid and insightful dialogue explored topics including ‘the future direction of innovative education,’ ‘student voice in educational decision-making,’ and ‘how bilingual learning empowers global competence.’ Terry's questions demonstrated unique perspectives and clear articulation, reflecting not only Nord Anglia students' critical thinking abilities but also the school's strong emphasis on student agency and voice.

Following a brief and convivial tea break, Mr Stuart White delivered a keynote address to all teaching staff in the school auditorium. He emphasised that in this era of rapid change, only through continuous pedagogical innovation, close interdisciplinary collaboration, and deep attention to individual student needs can an exceptional learner-centred educational ecosystem truly be built. He highly commended the NAS Guangzhou teaching team for their professionalism and educational passion, encouraging everyone to continue driving classroom transformation with courage and creativity.

随后，China Region 团队与学校 ALT及 MAC 团队举行了闭门座谈，围绕课程实施策略、教师专业发展、双语教学评估体系及学生支持机制等议题展开深入探讨，双方就如何进一步优化区域协同与校本创新达成多项共识。

在特别设置的学生采访环节中，九年级学生 Terry 作为学生代表，对 Mr. Stuart White 进行了面对面访谈。两人围绕“创新教育的未来方向”“学生在教育决策中的声音”以及“双语学习如何赋能全球胜任力”等话题展开真诚而富有洞见的对话。Terry 的提问视角独特、表达清晰，不仅体现了诺德安达学子的思辨能力，也彰显了学校对学生主体性和话语权的高度重视。

短暂而温馨的茶歇之后，Mr. Stuart White 在学校礼堂面向全体教职员工发表了题主题演讲。他强调，在快速变化的时代背景下，唯有通过持续的教学创新、紧密的跨学科协作以及对学生个体需求的深度关注，才能真正构建以学习者为中心的卓越教育生态。他高度肯定了广诺团队的专业精神与教育热忱，并鼓励大家继续以勇气与创造力推动课堂变革。
